JSON / Mock Data Generator
Build paste-ready mock JSON for APIs and UI — presets or custom fields, locked seed, copy or download.
Realistic mock arrays for UI and API work — copy or download JSON.
1–100 objects in one array
Think of it as a save code for randomness: same seed + same options = identical mock data. Click New data when you want a fresh set.

How to use this tool
- Pick a preset (Users, Products, Posts, Orders) or Custom.
- Set how many items you need (1–100).
- Optional: lock a seed so demos and tests stay reproducible, or click New data for a fresh set.
- Copy the JSON or download a .json file.
Mock data without a fake backend
Most searchers need an array of users or products right now — not an OpenAPI suite or a hosted mock server. DevDock keeps the sweet spot: realistic fields, a stable seed when you want one, and JSON you can paste into Storybook, Postman, or a unit test.
Already have JSON to clean up? Use the JSON Formatter. Turning spreadsheet exports into objects? Try CSV ↔ JSON. Need IDs inside that mock data? Use the UUID Generator.
FAQ
Is this a live mock API server?
No. It generates JSON in your browser for you to copy into apps, tests, or design mocks. It does not host an HTTP endpoint.
Will the same seed always produce the same data?
Yes, when Lock seed is on. Same seed, preset, count, and fields → same JSON. Click New data (or turn lock off) when you want a fresh set.
How is this different from the JSON Formatter?
This tool creates sample data. The JSON Formatter pretty-prints, minifies, and validates JSON you already have.
Are emails and phones real?
No. They are realistic-looking placeholders (example.com / 555 numbers) so you can build UIs without using real personal data.
Can I define my own shape?
Yes. Choose Custom, add fields, and pick a type for each (name, email, price, UUID, and more).
